Biodiesel Processing Equipment

Biodiesel processing equipment and biodiesel technology are older than a century and out in the world there are hundreds, even thousands of different biodiesel processors, processing lines and big biodiesel applications for producing large quantities measured with millions of gallons.

More than a century ago the biodiesel was the only fuel for the diesel engines and was referred as D1. The use of petroleum starts later and was referred as D2. This name stays even today.

One of the pioneers in the bio fuel and bio diesel processing was Henry Ford. He was one of the first entrepreneurs and investors in the renewable energy. Back then (which some authors refer that time as the bio diesel era), it was obvious that bio diesel was a perfect fuel. Hemp oil was found to be a perfect material for biodiesel production.

Few years later the biodiesel era was over. Petroleum took over and biodiesel was forgotten and existed only in the books about chemistry and in the minds of the ecologists.

In the last decade biodiesel is back and it is going to stay. There are numerous reasons for this, but most important are development of the modern and efficient biodiesel processing equipment, new improved sources for the raw oil but also a world politics, economy, care for the environment and government help.

Today there are large numbers of modern biodiesel processors for small, medium and large biodiesel operations. Also there are biodiesel equipment for all sources of raw oils and sources. Today biodiesel is boldly goes toward the future with a second and third generation of oil sources and biodiesel processing technology for these new sources of oils.

Biodiesel Tanking

There are small biodiesel processors for the farm or village use. They are also referred as the community biodiesel processors and usually the biodiesel output is not more than 50 gallons per batch and they can be used for two or three batches per day. Biodiesel processors which output is double or triple than a farm biodiesel processors are also available on the market. Medium biodiesel processors which output can be more than 1000 gallons per day are available both in batch or continuous flow biodiesel applications. The biodiesel processors with bigger capacity are usually with a continuous flow bio diesel technology.
